On 17 May 2025, the BIOTOOL-CHF consortium held its second project workshop as part of the Heart Failure 2025 Congress in Belgrade, Serbia. This event follows the first workshop hosted in London on 31 August 2024 and marks another key step in advancing the project’s scientific dialogue and outreach.
The hybrid workshop took place at the Sava Centar and brought together leading experts and project partners to discuss unmet clinical needs in chronic heart failure, focusing on congestion assessment. Dr. Igor Diemberger (University of Bologna) and Dr. Luciano Potena (Policlinico di Sant’Orsola) presented the latest insights from BIOTOOL-CHF under the session titled “What are the current unmet needs for congestion assessment in chronic heart failure?”
The event also welcomed two Horizon Europe sister projects, STRATIFYHF and AI4HF, for a joint session on clustering and networking. These collaborations aim to strengthen data integration and innovation in AI-driven risk assessment for heart failure.
The workshop was organised by Policlinico di Sant’Orsola, the University of Bologna, and Tinexta Innovation Hub, reinforcing BIOTOOL-CHF’s commitment to advancing research through cross-sector collaboration.
